palatable when i checked "also use for buttons/axes" under "motion source" in the options. and for me, shrine apparatus motion controls became more. i also only run it at 720p i use a 720p TV for my pc so upscaling does very little for me anyways. In cpu- mode: single core recompiler, timer: host based-timer, affinity: all logical cores.ĭon't use any graphics packs. under "experimental" check the botw crash workaround, full sync at GX2DrawDone, and use RDTSC. In options- vsync off, upscale filter bicubic, fullscreen scaling stretch, gpu buffer accuracy low. in non-battle shrines the framerate ends up being a bit too fast, ~40fps-ish, but it's still playable. the biggest thing is to make sure GX2SetGPuFence Skip Hack is turned on- that's the only way i get a playable framerate, otherwise i have the same 10-15 fps thing you have. Tl dr- "will it run?" probably, just get it and try it out for yourself.įor sure dude. the title runs even smoother when i'm running it stand-alone, and many areas where it seems to run sluggishly runs perfectly fine when i'm not dicking around with streaming. so in essence i'm running cemu, streaming on twitch, and watching the stream and chatting at the same time. not to mention i'm streaming on twitch via OBS studio which is a processor hog, and i also have a second monitor with firefox concurrently running so i can interact with viewers and see what they're seeing when i stream. if what it looks like in the clip is passable to you, you'll be happy with playing the remainder of the title. so this is what it looks like at its absolute worst, and is not indicative of how it runs 90% of the time. the absolute worst it runs is in ganon's castle, which is what i've specifically chosen to show in the aforementioned clip. The point is, it's completely playable, 100% of the time. so, 90% of the time, it runs at a solid 30FPS (which is what it's natively capped at on the wiiu), 5% of the time it runs sluggish temporarily when first starting up, and 5% of the time it runs sluggish temporarily when it loads new shaders for the first time (and only the first time). I think where i added the timestamp illustrates exactly how it will run on a subpar pc- i had just restarted the emulator because sometimes it crashes or has weird bugs where objects don't show up- and when the emulator first boots the ISO, it takes a bit of time and quite a bit of processing power and the gameplay is sluggish until it "catches up" a bit, which takes a few seconds (you can just let it sit for a few seconds and it'll eventually run at a steady framerate). that was interesting.īecause everyone always asks "can it run on my mediocre system?" here's twitch footage of me running BotW on my own shitty system. Also, I noticed some spots where the switch version's frames briefly dipped for a second were the same spots mine did on the cemu/wii-u version. It's playable at 30fps even with slight dips into the mid/high 20s briefly. I've watched the game played on siwtch in 30 fps and it's a lot smoother than you would expect the game to be. I expect I should get an increase of upt o 10 fps, which should cap me out around 30 fps on the overworld which would be good enough. I played it a bit after putting the 1070 Ti in too, but that was in early november on cemu 1.9 iirc. this cemu build should work much better with amd gpus now, so tweaks should make the difference and the proper graphic packs.Įdit those frames I mentioned were from an older build a couple or few months old. do you use an amd gpu? this is the newest cemu with better multicore support I think, so try some tweak packs for the game and see if those help, I was using those before. went down to 19-20 in some psots outside, in shrines 50s to 60 and easily capped at solid 30. Once I bought a 1070 Ti my frames could go to 30 in some overworld areas, often hung around the low to mid 20s outside. I had issues while using a r9 380 with it, where my average frames were 9 to 12 and best was 19 for a split second and they often would go up to 14.
